about
In early 2020, we began writing and rehearsing our debut EP, with a view to recording it in the spring. But then the Coronavirus lockdown happened and, unable to get to the studio, the band was put on hiatus before it had even started.
Stuck at home with nothing better to do than clear out old computer files, I discovered a forgotten demo. From Adam was recorded way back in 2016, in a one-off studio session between other musical projects and full-time jobs.
I decided to put it out as a single while waiting for things to get back to normal. The artwork (if you can even call it that) was clearly an afterthought - a photo of a soggy mop on the balcony of my flat.
It's about the adsurdities of online dating. It was played by Melita Dennett on her BBC Introducing South radio show.
We later pulled the single from streaming services - so today, Bandcamp is the only place you'll find it.

lyrics
Glad to make your acquaintance, here's what I'm looking for
I don't know you from Adam but I'd like to learn more
Demonstrate all you have to offer and keep it short
If it holds my attention for an hour I'm yours
Is it possible that I could never leave your side?
Is it probable? Is it logical?
No, yet I can't help myself but try
Now you're welcome to interject if I'm being weird
But there's a danger that we've got something meaningful here
Though I mentioned that I was only after one thing
We're not growing any younger so I got to thinking
